Annual presentation of the shillelagh at Fulco's in Metairie Friday, March 9, 2012. A street party with food, music and refreshments followed the presentation. The event was a prelude to Sunday's 42nd annual St. Patrick’s parade in Old Metairie which begins at noon. Jefferson Parish Councilman Chris Roberts will serve as the grand marshal of this year's parade. Sloane Kerner, daughter of Tim and Darla Kerner, will reign as queen of the parade. The theme is “Here Comes the Irish.”
