Drainage work along St. Charles Avenue taking place at three major intersections from Monday (June 1) until Aug. 31 will make summer commutes slower. The Army Corps of Engineers will rip streetcar tracks at Jefferson, Napoleon and Louisiana avenues to install a drainage system in the area as part of a $639 million project by the Southeastern Louisiana Urban Flood Control Program.
